Dear parents, students, and friends of Clifford School, it is our pleasure to share March Student of the Month nominees with you! Since returning after Spring Festival, our students in grade 7 & 8 have been busily preparing their projects for Clifford School’s Open Showcase! This month, our western teachers in Secondary English Language Program selected pupils who have shown exceptional teamwork and a commitment to helping others and making their Open Showcase projects as best as possible. The ability by these students to organize, motivate, and encourage each member of their group are stand-out qualities; and ensured everyone stayed on task and met the project criteria that led to exemplary work and successful performances during our School’s Open Showcase last weekend. Well done everyone for your hard work and for positively representing yourself, your classmates, your teachers, your parents and Clifford school. Congratulations to our nominees, and indeed all the students and teachers, who have worked tirelessly over the past few weeks to ensure a successful and memorable Showcase!

Angie 7.1B did well to organize her group for the drama presentations, took charge of directing and instructing her fellow group mates, and has become more outspoken in class. Good job Angie!

Mason in 7.2 B, worked very hard to create a drama about a drought and famine. This topic is not easy to perform, but he did a great job getting his work done and perfected while also helping to motivate his team members to try their best. Masons speech was audible, clear and fluent throughout his speaking parts. He used his body language to act like a king which was very believable. Also, he does a great job in class answering questions and doing his work diligently. I appreciate your effort. Great job!

Cino from 7.3 A worked very hard during the drama prep, he made sure the script was well written and as a result his drama performance was very good. His speech was audible, fluent, and clear when speaking his lines and his body movement and acting added further the overall effect of his performance. Well done, Cino!

I am delighted to nominate Warren for Student of the Month. He collaborates excellently with his peers and remains inspired in his work, always keeping it neat and organized. Warren also encourages his classmates to confidently express their ideas. Additionally, when another student found it challenging to work in a different group, Warren showed his caring nature by inviting them to join his team. Congratulations, Warren and well done!

Suki is our student of the month for February. We were focusing on leadership and the ability to organize themselves and others. Suki has shown herself to be a great leader. In her project work she has coached and encouraged teammates. In whole class decisions, she has taken the lead and became the spokesperson for the entire class. Well done Suki.

Chloe has had a great year in class so far. She has really proved this during our show case. She led her team in their project which resulted in them to produce an excellent PPT, poster and exemplary presentation. Chloe has showed us what a great team player, leader and excellent student she is!

Cici from 8.2 B class is Student of the Month due to her exceptional qualities of focus and organization. Throughout the past few weeks, she demonstrated strong leadership skills, guiding her peers with clarity. During the inventions project, Cici effectively managed her and her team's time, ensuring that her group stayed on track and met all deadlines. This leadership and support helped her group collaborate seamlessly, resulting in a well-executed project. Well done, Cici for your dedication and commitment.
